If there is no rush to get dental insurance, then choose a plan that fits your needs and your budget, regardless of if there is a waiting period or not.

Another thing to research is if your benefits increase and the maximums increase after the first year. Many plans have this as part of the structure so you want to make sure you are clear on the fine print before selecting a dental plan.

In Network Dentists vs. Out of Network Dentists

When choosing a dental plan, there might be a cheaper option if you choose a plan that allows you to see dentists and dental surgeons within the companies network. If you are okay with that, then this money-saving option might be a great choice for you. However, if you want to be able to go to any dentist that you want, you might have to pay a premium. Depending on your wants and budget, you can make a decision that is best for you.
